3Update the virus definitions.

4Run a full system scan.

5Delete any values added to the registry

Right click virus app icon%26gt;update or similar

To disable System Restore:

Go to Start %26gt; Settings %26gt; Control Panel.

Click System.

Click the System Restore tab.

Check the box that says ''Turn off system restore for all drives'' and click Apply.

As for ''Deleting any values added to the registry'', that is a very vague statement and not much can be said about how to do this...

Updating virus definitions also varies widely depending on your virus software, as does doing a full system scan.
