SBG900 for two computers?

Just purchased a SBG900 motorola wireless cable modem/router - two connection options: one via ethernet and one via usb - am I able to connect two computers simultaneously to each connection? One via ethernet and the other via usb at the same time and access the internet from both comps? The most complete answer gets the points.

No, absolutely not. The Ethernet should be used primarily and if the Ethernet port ever fails, the USB is there for backup. The Motorola Surfboard is not a router. It is a Cable Modem only. A router can split your connection/IP using NAT (Network Address Translation). A good example of a router can be found here:

You should only use one of the two at a time otherwise your connection will either not work, or it will cut out periodically. If you're still not sure, call your ISP and they will tell you the exact same. Hope this helps and good luck!
