The game is warcraft when i create a game it is shown on the other computer however when you connect it doesn't work.



Both computers share an intenet connection. Both computers are running windows xp professional.

you need to enable port forwarding on the router. This will allow you to host both LAN and Internet games.

You have to set-up one of the computers as a server.



Alternatively, set-up the game as a LAN game. You could be setting the game up as an Internet game. Since you are sharing the same connection to the 'net, the connection fails.



Generally, if you're setting-up an 'net game, you can ONLY play on-line. Most games will NOT accept both LAN and internet game connections.
I doubt the router has anyting to do with it.



If you're using wireless, it might be the quality of the wireless connection.



If both computers are wired into the router and it still doesn't work, then it is likely in the software setup of one of the computers.



The next thing I would check is the firewall settings on both machines.
