Can TVs and computers cause bad vision?

I've heard over and over again from parents to children to not sit so close to the TV. Is it true that too much TV and computers cause bad vision?

My eye doctor says that too much computer and TV can cause you to lose your distance vision. That is partially why I have glasses for distance.

yes. my brother got glasses that way
yes, im blurred in the eyes right now
You have to take in less calories than you burn. I know you said you hate to exercise, but there are things you can do that won't seem like much exercise once you make the habit. Obviously, watch your food intake and drink more water. If you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. If it goes away, you were really thirsty rather than hungry. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away. If you have a home with stairs, make excuses to go up and down them. If you have a lot of groceries, make more trips to take them in the house. Small steps add up to burned calories. Start small. Take a walk around your block. Then do it again tomorrow. Then add a block, and so on. You will find that you look forward to those times to get some fresh air and clear your mind. Hope it helps.
Sitting too close can fatigue your eyes. The constant strain may lead to glasses.
yes you do square eyes :(
