Diffintion of a computers ROM and the advantages and disadvantages of using it and is it expensive to buy?computer protection

ROM stands for Read Only Memory. It is where things such as the Bios on your motherboard are stored. You can't buy more and even if you couldnt it wouldnt do you any good because you can't write to it without a special EPROM programmer.

You probably mean RAM which is Random Access Memory. This is the amount of memory used by your computer to do things like process information and run programs.

There are no disadvantages. If you don't have it the computer doesnt work and the more you have (up to the limit supported by your operating system) the faster things run.

It's usually pretty inexpensive but it depends on just exactly what type of RAM you need for your system.

ROM- Read Only Memory

This is a type of memory used by the Mother Board (To Store BIOS) and by other various hardware.

It's advantage is that unlike RAM it saves data even without being connected to a power sours.

It's disadvantage is that you can't write on it (usually the manufacturer burns it so that it arrives to you with it's program)

There really no need to buy it, It comes automatically with whatever need it.
