My kids love technology. We have a blog that we regularly write on about the literature we read. As long as it is incorporated correctly I think it can be a huge asset and motivator. Check out our blog for further proof:

technology certainly has an effect on (it AFFECTS) education, as far as language learning is concerned. CALL (computer assisted lg. learning) is fun for students, it makes the whole process very enjoyable.
I do not think computers and technology AFFECT education.
Just by reading the posts on here you will soon realise that people cannot construct a simple sentence!
Also, they find it difficult to tick the Check Spelling box!
Even with computers and technology their basic education seems a lot to be desired!
