Very ignorant of computers; grateful for help with a simple function?

For me to run a cd (happens to be mp3) I was instructed to:

open a browser and paste a link

I have the instructions of what to put in, but just do not know how to do it. Would be extremely grateful if someone could provide instructions on this. Us older people not born and educated with computers can have trouble understanding things that seem simple to those younger.

Thanks for general information here.

First you would need to highlight the link you wish to paste in to your browser (I assume this may be from an email?) then you would right-click the highlighted text and select 'Copy', next open your web browser (Internet Explorer?) and remove the address displayed in the address bar at the top.

Right-click in the emtpy address bar, click paste and then press Enter or 'Go' and you should be on your way to listening to your MP3.

To be honest, you shouldn't have to download any extra software to listen to an MP3, simply go into My Computer %26gt; Cd-Rom Drive and double click on the file you wish to play.

i'm a little confused myself. You see, running an mp3 cd don't really require you to open a browser then paste a link. All you have to do is to put the cd in your cd drive then the computer should auto read it. if you were given choices, select that which lets you play the songs. Otherwise, you can go to My Computer and explore the cd there and run the mp3s through Windows Media Player.
Hello Mr. Glen

no problem if you have CD with Mp3 files. from ''My computer'' and double click on your Cd.

if you have Winamp it should open w/out and problem if you don't just download it i'll post the link, also you can you windows media player. (i'll also provide the link%26gt;.

That really doesn't make sense. You should just be able to double click ''My Computer'' and then double click your CD-ROM icon.
