Maybe they are addicts of Yahoo Answers and are asking, answering, and voting while the game is being played.

They are like pulling up like information for like the guys calling the game.
they are NOT REPORTERS!!!...they are the people who keep track of stats!

...its not possible for one person to keep a total count of how many rebounds, points, assists, blocks, turnovers, or etc one player has!1
Yeah dude, its people keeping track of the stats.
You know what they need to be paying attention to the game not the computers!
reporters writing game summaries rather that writing by hand, so they can hit the Internet or their media outlet the second the game is over.

then there are the row of people on the other side who track and record all of the statistics for the game

wait until the ncaa tourney starts! .. there will be about 4 rows and 40 or so computers!
They are airing it on the net
There are newspaper reporters making notes on the game during play, statisticians compiling numbers for the radio and TV play-by-play persons, and on-line update personnel. Yahoo Sports provides play-by-play coverage for many games (as does CBS Sportsline, ESPN.com, and other sites), and some of the computers you see at courtside are linked directly to the respective game sites. so that fans can get a running report of how their favorite team is doing even though they may not be on TV in the area.
