People spend hours on computers. Are they missing out on the human aspect of conversation?
Is communication through computers an adequate replacement for face-to-face dialogue?suzuki
I was thinking about this the other day.
In this day and age we can text and talk on cell phones anywhere, anytime. We can go online email, chat, go to discussion groups or places like here. We can meet people from literally all over the world online.
In the past people used telephones and wrote letters. They didn't send letters or call complete strangers. That's a big difference. We do meet more people.
However, and this is just my opinion, people today may talk more often to more people but they don't go out as much and interact with strangers. The relationships may be with more people and the talk more often, but does that mean that the relationships are stronger? I don't think so. I think it's a hollow security.
How many of us talk up a storm and still go home alone?
Is communication through computers an adequate replacement for face-to-face dialogue?virus
I think it makes for lonelier people..
it depends upon the person.
I think unless they are taking it too far, it should not effect their relationships. However I have known many people who were addicted and it did effect their lives negatively.
