Tigerdirect has whats called open box, and also refurbs. Both have manufacturers warranties. I have bought from them and they are fine. I just got a HP from them.

I usually buy mine at an office supply store in town when they are on sale. To do this you need to know pc prices so you will know when its a good deal. You can usually find a decent one for about 400 dollars if you already have a printer and monitor. Unless you play games that need a lot of pc power you wont need to spend more than this.
