Transfer Emails between computers?

I have a desktop and a laptop that are both running XP. I want to take all the emails and settings from outlook express on the desktop and transfer them to the laptop. I have a wireless router set up between the two computers so I do have a private network if needed.

First what you have to do is go into the "file" menu in outlook express and click "import and export" click export to file. Now make like a notepad file with a couple lines of text, and tell outlook to export to that file. Then burn the file to a CD and do the same thing on the other computer except click "import from program or file"; now you should be set.

As far as the emails. All you need is to send the emails to a seperate empty folder. And either burn the emails to CD-DVD Rom. or copy them to a jump drive. As far as the settings of the outlook express. I'm afraid you'll have to manually configure it to your ISP's email. However. That's fairly easy. Instructions would depend upon your ISP. You don't have to worry about a private network only as far as what I've said goes. However, you might want to think about it this way, nobody can use your internet connection without your permission. Hope all that helps.
all your settings and emails are saved in two files:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\

Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Outlook.pst

archive.pst
