i messed up downloading really bad....

i heard u can reset it... so

how do i rewind time for computers (windows 2000)

...like how do i reset time back to like 2 hours

Unfortunately there is no easy way to go back and undo system settings in Windows 2000. Windows 2000 has a system repair function, but you will need to run through the cd to access it. The easiest way to do so is to boot from your install cd and run through the prompts. Eventually you will find a prompt that will allow you to repair windows. Just make sure you don't choose to format your hard drive, unless you want to loose all of your data. You can also access the windows 2000 recovery console if you are having trouble booting.

i know windows xp and on have system restore. also, ur computer doesnt make restore points automatically, so a lot of your settings will go down the drain.

If you knew how to backup 2000, you would not need this question. It must be done manually and in advance of a booboo. Take this opportunity to upgrade . If you can tell us what is broken, we may be able to help.

Oh thats easy just restart your computer as soon as you see black just hit F8 hit it a lot it won't hurt it and then options should pop up choose last known good configuration and that should take care of it.
Windows XP and Windows ME have system recovery if that is what you want.

However Windows 2000 does not.
